When this beloved disciple of Jesus looked steadfastly into Heaven, he saw something that gave him even more boldness to proclaim his claim even in the face of certain death.

Christianity cannot be separated from the miraculous. If we take the miraculous out of Christianity then there is no Christianity to talk about: that will be some other religion, not Christianity. If there is one who believes then Jesus’ promise is that the same works He did shall that person also do, and even greater works!

The saints are called to be partakers of the divine nature, that is, the nature of God. This is a high calling, and according to the Apostle Peter, can only be attained through assimilation of the knowledge of God and escape from worldly corruption.
